Environmental Compliance Support to NASA/Ames Research Center (ARC), Moffett Field, CA
PAI ensures that ARC is in compliance with environmental regulations and environmental permit requirements. This support includes monitoring air and water quality; reviewing hazardous material storage; obtaining industrial wastewater and storm water discharge permits; and preparing Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) plans. PAI develops and implements numerous environmental plans, policies, procedures, guidelines, and handbooks. In the event of a chemical spill or release, we also conduct air, water, and soil sampling to assess the environmental impact.  BACK TO MENU
 
CWA/NPDES and CERCLA Support at the Weldon Spring Site (WSS)
PAI provides oversight for the CWA/NPDES Program at WSS. This includes preparing applications for general, stormwater, and construction permits; ensuring compliance with permit requirements; and managing and monitoring the WSS wetlands mitigation project. PAI also prepares (or reviews) and coordinates approval of WSS CERCLA documents and leads meetings with the regulators and the public.  BACK TO MENU
 
PAI planned, supervised, and conducted periodic RCRA compliance inspections of waste generation and accumulation activities at NTS. Air Permit Program at Fort Campbell, Kentucky

Comprehensive Environmental Compliance Assessments for Defense Threat Reduction Agency Radiation Simulators
PAI assessed oil spill prevention control, hazardous and solid waste management, air and water quality management, environmental restoration, occupational safety and hazard communication, and environmental program management. BACK TO MENU
 
Development of Pollution Prevention (P2) Program at the East Tennessee Technology Park (ETTP)
PAI has been instrumental in developing the ETTP P2 program. To implement the program, PAI designed a comprehensive three-phase model that is emulated at other federal government installations. BACK TO MENU
 
Environmental Program Management for the NASA/Ames Research Center (ARC)
PAI coordinates all environmental compliance activities/programs at ARC, including hazardous waste management; P2; spill control and response; and compliance with NEPA, CERCLA, CAA, CWA, Endangered Species Act, and other federal and state laws. Environmental Compliance Assurance for Wackenhut Services, Inc. (WSI) at the Oak Ridge Reservation (ORR)
For WSI, which provides ORR-wide safeguards and security services, PAI ensures environmental compliance, including establishing WSI’s Pollution Prevention (P2) Program, managing hazardous waste, and monitoring air emissions.  BACK TO MENU
 
Compliance Assessment for RCRA Part B Permits, ETTP
PAI reviewed all applicable RCRA Part B permits and in-house procedures for hazardous waste container and tank storage at ETTP. PAI identified and determined the compliance status of over 600 requirements units and, where necessary, recommended corrective actions. BACK TO MENU
 
Sitewide Asbestos Survey at the Y-12 Plant
PAI helped Y-12 comply with the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) by conducting an extensive asbestos survey of 36 process buildings at the Y-12 Plant. PAI collected more than 800 samples, evaluated the condition of asbestos-containing materials, and recommended corrective and maintenance activities. BACK TO MENU
