Restoration Support at NASA/Ames Research Center (ARC),

manages the Site Restoration Program at ARC, and performs
site investigation and remediation activities, ensures
underground storage tank (UST) regulatory compliance, and
installs and surveys monitoring wells. PAI prepares work
plans and study designs for sampling and analysis of soil,
soil vapor, and groundwater. PAI also operates
remediation, treatment, and other engineered pollution
control systems, and maintains the Geographic Information

Spring Site Remedial Action Project (WSSRAP) |

provides direct support and oversight of the remediation
of WSSRAP, a National Priorities List site, and
prepares/reviews the associated documents (RI/FSs, RODs,
EEs/CAs, sampling plans, work plans, etc.). PAI also
coordinates regulatory review and comment resolution.

CERCLA
Action Planning for Operable Unit (OU) 2 at the Y-12 Plant |
|
| OU
2, located in Bear Creek Valley, contains radioactive,
hazardous, and mixed wastes. PAI performed the scoping and
screening of remedial technologies for the OU 2 FS,
prepared the PP and ROD, and developed the remedial design
work plan.

Removal Action at the Atomic City Auto Parts Site in Oak
Ridge |

investigated the site to define the nature and extent of
soil and groundwater contamination, performed an EE/CA,
prepared an action memorandum to support the proposed
action, and provided oversight of the removal action.

ER Program for DOE/OR |

| For
7 years, PAI supported comprehensive ER program tasks for
DOE facilities in Tennessee, Kentucky, and Ohio. PAI
provided the full scope of CERCLA action planning,
including preliminary assessments, site inspections, site
characterizations, RIs, FSs, proposed plans, RODs, EE/CAs,
decontamination and decommissioning (D&D), and action
memoranda. PAI also supported remediation technology
selection; treatment process and equipment design;
oversight of remedial construction; management of waste
generated as part of RA and D&D activities; and

Bethel Valley (BV) ER
Projects Management for the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) |

managed the ORNL BV ER projects, including the nuclear
materials and facilities utilization; the FS, PP, ROD, and
other documentation for Waste Area Group (WAG) 1 surface
impoundments; the treatability study of WAG 1 Gunite and
Associated Tanks OU; the BV watershed RI/FS; and the

Waste Management at the Nevada Test Site (NTS) |

PAI
played a major role in the implementation of CERCLA and
RCRA programs at the NTS and other DOE/Nevada sites in
Alaska, Colorado, Nevada, and Mississippi. PAI’s
services included hazard evaluations, RI/FS, site
investigations and characterizations, community relations,
