PAI provides assistance in performance management, developing design inputs and procedures, designing process improvement activities, coordinating training efforts, and analyzing design PA data. Specific assignments have included reviewing a draft quality assurance (QA) manual for procurement documents, developing a process flowchart for the procurement document review process, revising the PA operational readiness review procedure flowchart, and developing the engineering analysis/calculation process. PAI provided PA support to the RWAP in the areas of QA and hazardous materials transportation regulations. Tasks have included reviewing generator waste shipment applications, performing audits and surveillance of waste generator facilities, reviewing waste generator laboratory service acquisition, preparing a Waste Generator workshop, and developing waste acceptance documentation.  BACK TO MENU

PAI provided support services to the BN PA Engineering Organization of the Defense program. Specific assignments included reviewing project control procedures addressing change control activities; performing a management assessment of the REBOUND, HOLOG, BEEF, and ICEBOUND projects, including data gathering and preparation; and performing a management assessment of BN procurement and accounting procedures, as requested by the Stockpile Stewardship program (REBOUND, HOLOG, and ICEBOUND projects.  BACK TO MENU

PAI provided management and technical support to the Assistant Manager of Environment, Safety, and Quality organization in carrying out its functional appraisal of WSS, an oversight activity of DOE contractor operations. This task consisted of the preparation of appraisal plans (i.e., developing statements of work, performance criteria, and lines of inquiry) and the editing of appraisal reports.  BACK TO MENU

PAI provided support services to the BN PA Group to support the TRU Waste project QA program. Activities included: developing a QA program for BN TRU Waste project and supporting procedures in accordance with the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) QA documents and revising the existing matrix to denote where the WIPP requirements are addressed.  BACK TO MENU
