PAI reviewed DNFSB requirements for each specific task undertaken by a major contractor to assure regulatory compliance with DFNSB and PAAA requirements. PAI prepared a management plan describing the integrated responsibilities of managers for the Federal Radiological Monitoring and Assessment Center. PAI provided critiques of operations and management performance of simulated radiological emergencies and radiation monitoring training exercises.  BACK TO MENU

PAI provided instructional support for the ETTP Radiological Control Technician (RCT) Training for core and site specific training, including training on instrumentation use, radiation and contamination surveys, and the use of air monitors. PAI assisted with improving workplace air sampling programs. Duties included writing procedures, plans and other documents; evaluating airborne radioactive material hazards; recommending placement of air sampling equipment; evaluating air sampling methodologies; developing technical basis documents for air sampling programs.  BACK TO MENU

PAI supported in the definition and implementation of DNFSB recommendations, and in the preparation of implementations plans for compliance with PAAA. PAI successfully developed the PAAA Rules Implementation Plan, the Facilities Safety Documentation Program, and the S/RID/ DOE Orders Compliance Assessment Program (per DNFSB 90-2).  BACK TO MENU

Services included reviewing problem reports for possible noncompliances with nuclear safety quality assurance (NSQA) rule 10CFR830.120 or other PAAA deficiencies. PAI reviewed deficiency reports, issued compliance officer reports, performed appropriate in-depth reviews and developed database/tracking system.
