Training Support to NASA/Ames Research Center (ARC), Moffett Field, CA

PAI is responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of training programs in occupational safety, industrial hygiene and environmental protection, which requires coverage of over 30 areas, including ES&H, ergonomics, and crane operation. PAI also prepared two Web-based courses for the NASA SOLAR Web site: Hazcom for Chemical Users and Hazcom for Office Workers.  BACK TO MENU

 
Unreviewed Safety Question Determination (USQD) Training for LMES

PAI presented more than 35 classes to train facility managers on USQDs and the importance of the facility authorization basis. The training also detailed methods for evaluating changes in facility operation and/or design to ensure that the facility continues to operate safely and within the limits of its authorization basis.  BACK TO MENU

 
Training Program Management for Lockheed Martin Energy Systems, Inc. (LMES)

PAI developed lesson plans, viewgraphs, and exams; developed and revised annual training plans; evaluated job requirements and identified required training for all employees; maintained employee baseline training requirements; developed and maintained training matrices; issued and maintained required reading; provided training support during audits; and scheduled required training.  BACK TO MENU

 
National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Implementation Guidance and Training Manual for the Nevada Test Site (NTS)

PAI prepared the NNSA/NV master NEPA Compliance Guide for distribution to all DOE organizations conducting activities NTS. PAI participated in the preparation and presentation of a NEPA training course for representatives of these organizations.  BACK TO MENU

 
Radiation (Rad) Awareness Training and Rad Worker Training for the Aluminum Company of America (ALCOA)

PAI provided training and a refresher course for employees performing work on beta and X-ray gauges. PAI also developed new modules and exercises, and updated existing modules and exercises.  BACK TO MENU

 
Facility Representative (FR) Program Development for DOE Oakland Operations Office (OAK)

PAI developed the FR Program, preparing training, competency requirements, and evaluations. PAI also revised DOE/OAK SD-1063-93, which establishes the FR Program requirements and guidance.  BACK TO MENU

 
Rad Worker Training for the LMES Center for Continuing Education

PAI provided Rad Worker I, Rad Worker II, and lessons-learned; prepared practice exercises; and administered certification exams.  BACK TO MENU

 
Training for Bechtel Nevada (BN) at NTS

For BN, PAI conducted the NTS Emergency Management Center training; developed a training program to address authorization basis, performance-based assessment, and ISMS program review; and prepared an Electrical Safety training course.  BACK TO MENU

 
Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Environmental Training for the United States Enrichment Corporation

PAI developed three separate training modules for the Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant and three for the Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant on NRC environmental training requirements. The training focused on new ways the facilities must operate regarding use and possession of radioactive materials under NRC regulation.  BACK TO MENU
